Just had a belated Valentine's dinner here and it was exceptional. Service, cocktails, apps and entrees. Was only sad the evening was over so quickly! Looking forward to summer visits on the patio and enjoying the gorgeous view.

We had 2 experiences at this amazing restaurant in 1 weekend. First was a delicious lunch out on the deck on a sunny Thursday in October. Delightful mussels and a MOJO pork sandwich for him. Saturday was the wedding and it was perfect! From the food to the service to the fabulous weather, we could not have asked for anything more! It was exactly what our daughter envisioned, small, personnel and planned inside of 8 weeks! Stephanie was so accommodating and made sure everything was perfect. The food and drinks were enjoyed by all, but the oysters were particularly incredible straight from the Darmariscotta River. The location offered beautiful views, plenty of parking and a relaxing environment. Highly recommend for small gatherings and events. Thank you North43!

We sat on the patio overlooking the harbor and had a delightful lunch. Liam was our server, he was very nice and pleasant, checking back several times to see how things were or if we needed anything.
Lunch was delicious! I had the blackened chicken sandwich with a side salad. The pineapple combined with the spicy pepper jack cheese provided just the right amount of hit and sweet combined. The salad vinaigrette was wonderful! My husband had the pork sandwich with spicy fries. He said the pork was very tender and the sauce was terrific! For dessert we shared the Black Forest cake, all I can say is it was fabulous!

I’ve known of this place for years but finally gave it a try for date night. All I have to say is wow. The atmosphere is intimate, the service is attentive and timely, and the food.. the food is incredible. The portions were wonderful. I had the New York Sirloin Steak with the mashed potato, green bean, bacon and cheese. Phenomenal. I was really impressed with this plate and I cannot wait to go back and try a new meal. I highly recommend trying this restaurant.

We brought seven kids into 43 N. at the last minute, and the experience was absolutely phenomenal. The service was impeccable, and the food was even better. What truly stood out was the owner coming out from the kitchen to be exceptionally kind to the children, in a way that very few gourmet restaurants ever do. This thoughtful gesture made our night. North 43 held our rehearsal dinner the Sunday of Memorial Day Weekend. Stephane and her crew were outstanding, especially given that just prior to our arrival they experienced a major power outage. Without missing a beat, a minor change in the menu, cooking outside on grills, the dinner and service were truly outstanding. This has always been our favorite restaurant, excellent service food and atmosphere. Our guests keep raving about the atmosphere, service and food.

We had a rather last-minute opportunity to gather family over Memorial Day weekend and struggled to find a Portland venue that could accommodate a party of 18. North 43 Bistro was not only able to seat our group with only several days' notice, but gave us the most fabulous experience. Our server, Kristen, handled our table with ease even when we inadvertently threw curveballs like shifting our seats after we ordered, requesting substitutions, or a generous relative asking to group several checks together to pay for the cousins. Her service was efficient, enthusiastic, and friendly, and she really made our evening perfect. She was sincerely one of the best servers I've ever encountered. I think between us we tried all the entrees, most of the appetizers, and most of the specialty drinks, all of which were delicious. The ambiance was lovely, the view was spectacular, and we'll definitely be back...hopefully on a night Kristen is there to serve us! Thanks for a great evening!

We came here for date night and everything was superb. We have been to many of Portland's fine eateries and these guys can hang with the best. Wonderful waterfront views, delightful dishes, welcoming staff. Courtney was our server and she was a rockstar. Provided insightful commentary, was prompt but not intrusive, bubbly, and thoughtful. I had an off menu drink request and she got it spot on. Highly reccommend.

This is a gem of a restaurant in South Portland, Maine. Terrific cocktail offerings and service. The food was prepared perfectly and was tastefully garnished. We look forward to returning in the warmer weather to enjoy their scenic deck.
