North 43 held our rehearsal dinner the Sunday of Memorial Day Weekend. Stephane and her crew were outstanding, especially given that just prior to our arrival they experienced a major power outage. Without missing a beat, a minor change in the menu, cooking outside on grills, the dinner and service were truly outstanding. This has always been our favorite restaurant, excellent service food and atmosphere. Our guests keep raving about the atmosphere, service and food.

We had a rather last-minute opportunity to gather family over Memorial Day weekend and struggled to find a Portland venue that could accommodate a party of 18. North 43 Bistro was not only able to seat our group with only several days' notice, but gave us the most fabulous experience. Our server, Kristen, handled our table with ease even when we inadvertently threw curveballs like shifting our seats after we ordered, requesting substitutions, or a generous relative asking to group several checks together to pay for the cousins. Her service was efficient, enthusiastic, and friendly, and she really made our evening perfect. She was sincerely one of the best servers I've ever encountered. I think between us we tried all the entrees, most of the appetizers, and most of the specialty drinks, all of which were delicious. The ambiance was lovely, the view was spectacular, and we'll definitely be back...hopefully on a night Kristen is there to serve us! Thanks for a great evening!

We came here for date night and everything was superb. We have been to many of Portland's fine eateries and these guys can hang with the best. Wonderful waterfront views, delightful dishes, welcoming staff. Courtney was our server and she was a rockstar. Provided insightful commentary, was prompt but not intrusive, bubbly, and thoughtful. I had an off menu drink request and she got it spot on. Highly reccommend.

This is a gem of a restaurant in South Portland, Maine. Terrific cocktail offerings and service. The food was prepared perfectly and was tastefully garnished. We look forward to returning in the warmer weather to enjoy their scenic deck.

What a beautiful location! Food was beautifully presented and tasted wonderful. The chef/owner helped make my best friends wedding a night to remember! They have a great upstairs area for private events.

My bride and I recently had dinner here and were treated to fabulous food and service. Our server, Kara was friendly and attentive. The presentation of food was as wonderful as every bite tasted. Portland, Maine has many fine restaurants. We recommend that North 43 Bistro is on the top of your list to visit!

Always a good experience, whether for a full sit down meal with a group, dinner at the bar or a quick in and out for apps. Tonight we had the butternut squash and crab meat ravioli and spec "hot pocket" puff pastry. Both were excellent. The staff were friendly and offered suggestions.It is always on our radar for a quick date night or family night out with our teens. Thanks North 43P.S. the location is fabulous as are the views.

They were happy to accommodate a dairy free diet restriction. They successfully cooked the food in accordance with that restriction. You'd be amazed at how many restaurants do not after the request was made. I get to find out about 12 hours later that dairy was used.But! I got the chicken entree with grilled fig and sweet potatoes. It was perfect.

The view is great! Food is always good, and there are usually nice vegan options for the meatless friends in our lives.

I recently hosted my wedding ceremony and reception at North 43 and it was absolutely PERFECT. Everything from the food, drinks, service and atmosphere was exactly what we envisioned for our special day. Stephanie and all the staff at North 43 went above and beyond and did far more than we expected to make our day what it was! We received so much positive feedback from our guests around the food and service. I would whole heartedly recommend Stephanie and North 43 to host any event needs, big or small

Some proper mussels! What more could you want after a 30hr drive from New Orleans? Burger was amazing, the steak and cheese egg rolls were amazing, the fresh caught tuna was amazing (and I hate tuna), the views were amazing, the beer selection was amazing, our waiter from Long Island was amazing, the hostesses who seated 3 smelly guys who've been locked up in a car for 30 hrs with a dog were amazing.Well done North 43 Bistro, you set the bar for all restaurants in the Northeast.

Came here for a nice dinner to end my honeymoon trip up New England and North 43 Bistro did not disappoint! The service was timely and our waiter Matt was excellent. I had the curry spiced halibut and my husband ordered the pork chop. We also split the cornbread with whipped butter appetizer. My husband is a chef and he said the food was some of the best he’d ever tasted. If you are celebrating a special occasion or just looking to have a nice date night out, go to North 43 Bistro!
